# Cluster C personality disorders These personality disorders break into the domains of avoidant personality disorder, dependent personality disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. A viewpoint that has problems with [anxiety](mind-feelings-fear.md) and compulsive behaviors. - Effectively a problem with over-obsessing about the future. There are three major classifications: - Avoidant Personality Disorder (AVPD): heavily avoids circumstances. - Dependent Personality Disorder (DPD): heavily over-relies on others. - Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD): preoccupied with order, rules, and schedules. Indicators: - Constantly obsessed about the future, even when it doesn't make sense or have any present value. - Obsessive actions taken in preparation for the future that don't materially change the circumstances. How to behave with them: - Be patient with their fears, since they believe those fears are legitimate. - When trying to talk them down from their anxieties, ask questions that undermine (not simply state) the reliability of their concerns. - However, if they reinforce their fears and anxieties, be careful to not share in that paranoia yourself. The cure for it: - Mostly, they need [awareness](mind-awareness.md) of further information that diminishes their paranoia (e.g., [God is in control](god-will.md)).
